God doesn’t always answer prayers the way we think he will—or even the way we want.
Because of this, I’ve seen kids get discouraged and confused about God.
I want Wilfred’s story to show this complex spiritual truth in a fun way that kids can understand.
Wilfred and his little boy have tons of fun, but he’s never liked baths. That was OK when he was small, but he finally gets so big, nobody can make him take one!
He’s going to have to stay outside unless his family can find a way to give him a bath.
So, they pray—just like I do when things get too big for me.
And the answer comes in a way Wilfred’s little boy doesn’t expect!
I hope Wilfred’s story helps children see that God’s always listening
even when the answer doesn’t come the way they imagined.
