Attack of the Show was a daily show that aired on G4TV and kept viewers informed about video games, tech, movies, comic books, the internet, and pop culture. The show covered everything you cared about. Attack of the Show debuted in March of 2005 and was on the air until 2013, when it was abruptly canceled.
It was more than just a show, AOTS fostered a fan community that gathered to chat about whatever happened on the internet that day. The hosts connected with the audience because they were the audience. And viewers were a part of the shenanigans. AOTS and the audience became like one giant geek family and chronicled the last moments of a pop culture community before it was fractured by social media.
It’s been six years since Attack of the Show was canceled and G4TV ended. And since then, at Comic-Cons everywhere, I get one question… whatever happened to G4TV and Attack of the Show? What led to this wildly successful show getting the axe? I never realized how much people loved being a part of the community AOTS fostered. The absence of AOTS has been felt by fans everywhere who miss the collective conversation we used to have about comic books, movies, video games, and geek culture.
So many passionate fans keep asking the same questions, so let’s relive the best moments, catch up with the cast and creators, and investigate what really happened in a movie called… “Attack of the Doc.” We will interview everyone — the writers, producers, executives, the people who worked behind the scenes along with the talent and even the people who played recurring roles. I’ll shoot a video podcast and use those interviews to make the documentary, then share the uncut audio from those interviews with you on an official Attack of the Doc Podcast.
As of October 29th, this project has raised $22,500 of their $25,000 goal. This project has 14 days left to raise the $25,000 or it will not be funded.
