Needing something fun to play this weekend? You are in luck! The Internet Archive released over 2,000 games that previously ran on floppy disks on MS-DOS back in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. A team of volunteers converted the old games to work via Javascript plugin. And you can now play classic games like the first Sim City, Prince of Persia, Stunts, Super Street Fighter, SimFarm, and the original Oregon Trail game!
The games should all work in your browser on updated versions of Chrome and Firefox. Yes, you might find some bugs, and some games can only be played on a gamepad. The best thing, all the games are free! And you can download some of the games to play on your own computer! I had some fun playing the original Oregon Trail game. And sadly, I died!
