Welcome to the Good News Fridays segment! Each week here on Geek Alabama, Good News Fridays will feature something good, wholesome, positive, and overall something great. After a long and stressful week, we all need something good to read or watch on Fridays! Enjoy a heartwarming post below.

Still can’t believe we pulled this off… In just 90 days, we built an entire medical clinic in Ghana, giving over 1,000 people access to healthcare right in their own village!

Before this, the only medical care available was a tiny room with one bed and no running water. If someone got seriously sick or a mother needed to give birth, reaching the nearest hospital meant traveling over an hour. Something as basic as healthcare shouldn’t be this hard to access.

But this clinic is part of something much bigger.

Far too many kids in Ghana are working in cocoa fields instead of going to school. So over the next five years, we’re working across 11 cocoa-farming communities, reaching more than 18,000 people by building schools, bringing clean water and healthcare to families, and helping parents earn a better living. Because every kid deserves to be healthy, go to school, and just be a kid.
