Is the Economy Really Doing Fine? What if the economy is already weaker than we’re being told and the warning signs are showing up in the way people spend, save, and live?
The economy may not be doing as well as the headlines suggest. Inflation, rising living costs, unaffordable housing, higher borrowing costs, a weak job market, and cautious consumer spending are telling a very different story from the strong economy we’re constantly hearing about. So what happens when millions of Americans quietly start changing the way they spend their money?
In this video, I look at the real economy through people’s behavior, including families cutting vacations, delaying big purchases, restaurants struggling, tourism slowing down, and businesses dealing with higher food costs, insurance, rent, utilities, and labor costs. I also explain why the economy hasn’t fallen apart yet, how governments and central banks can delay the consequences, and why financial imbalances can build for years before something finally breaks. I don’t know exactly what happens next, but preparing for uncertainty has never been a bad financial decision.
