Free import tool now available, ahead of TV Time’s official shutdown on July 15th

Berlin, Germany — JustWatch, the leading platform for finding what to watch, today announced the launch of a free migration tool that allows former TV Time users to transfer their viewing history, watchlists, and episode tracking data directly into JustWatch. The tool is now live, ahead of TV Time’s planned shutdown on July 15th.

Like many fans, the JustWatch team was sorry to learn that TV Time is shutting down. Millions of users have spent years building up detailed records of what they’ve watched, rated, and planned to watch.

To help ensure those years of viewing history aren’t lost, JustWatch is offering a simple way for TV Time users to preserve their data:

Step 1: Request your TV Time export

Before anything else, download your data from TV Time while it’s still available (until July 15th). You can request the export here: https://gdpr.tvtime.com/gdpr/self-service

Step 2: Upload it to the JustWatch importer

Head to https://www.justwatch.com/us/tvtime-importer and upload the file as is.

Step 3: Sign up or log in to JustWatch to sync

Sign up or log in to JustWatch to sync the data into your account. JustWatch matches your TV Time shows and movies to its catalog and pulls everything in automatically.

That’s it — enjoy everything in one place

“TV Time has been one of the most popular ways for fans to track what they watch, with a large and loyal community built up over years,” said Leonard Brahm, SVP of Platforms at JustWatch. “We wanted to make sure that history had somewhere to go.”

JustWatch encourages TV Time users with specific requests about what data they’d like supported in the import process to reach out directly to feedback@justwatch.com
