Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment! Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as, Indiegogo, and others. The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal. Please enjoy today’s featured project!

We’re thrilled to finally debut Trooper exclusively here on Kickstarter! After 2 years in the works and countless trials with dogs of all sizes, Trooper has been tested, refined, and built for the realities of real dog play.
Trooper is an intentionally designed dog ball that takes every millimetre into account as to how dogs actually chew, see, chase and play. From its material composition to our precision squeak system that only squeaks when our dogs chew on it just right – we can confidently say that Trooper raises the standard for how dog toys should be designed and made.
Okay, so the problem isn’t that dogs are too rough. The problem is that the standard for dog toys has been too low.
And you know how this goes – another toy destroyed or forgotten, another replacement bought, another promise of “durability” that doesn’t hold up. Too many dog toys feel disposable, poorly thought through, and designed more for the human eye than for the dogs they’re actually made for. Wrong colors. Weak materials. Half-thought-out features.
Trooper was born from that frustration and from the belief that dogs deserve toys built with more intention, more durability, and a better understanding of how they actually interact with the world.
Trooper was designed with 7 dog-focused features that set it apart from the dog toys currently on the market. If you haven’t watched our Kickstarter video yet (it’s at the top of our campaign), give it a look! It’s the best way to see why we built Trooper, how it works, and what it was designed to do.
As of July 1st, this project has raised $196,000 of their $7,000 goal. This project has 15 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $23, you will get one ball. For a pledge of $59, you will get three balls. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/610086504/trooper-dog-ball?
