Welcome to the Roadscapes Wednesday segment! Each week here on Geek Alabama, Roadscapes Wednesday will feature roads and infrastructure related topics. Geek Alabama Editor / Publisher Nathan Young is often called the “road geek” for a good reason, Nathan loves roads and loves talking about roads!

This disaster documentary tells the true story of one of the most severe highway accidents in United States history.

Through detailed storytelling, it examines how a rapidly forming fog along Interstate 75 in Tennessee transformed an ordinary morning into a disaster that unfolded in less than ten minutes.

Drivers moved from clear conditions into near-zero visibility without warning, and what followed was a chain reaction that spread in both directions along the highway, trapping those involved in conditions they could not see—and could not escape.

By piecing together witness accounts, emergency response, and the findings that followed, this documentary explores how the disaster developed, and why it became so difficult to prevent once it had begun.
