Brits Try Southern Food Two Brits set out on an American road trip across Alabama to see if the rumours about Southern gas station food were actually true… and honestly, we were completely unprepared for what we found. From biscuits and gravy, burgers, Cajun food, jambalaya, red beans and rice, catfish po’boys, BBQ, and steak, this turned into far more than just a food challenge — it became one of the most unexpected Southern food experiences we’ve ever had.
We tried Southern food spots (not Buc-ee’s ) while trying some of the most legendary comfort food in the American South. Along the way we discovered beautiful countryside, met genuinely wonderful people, and experienced a side of Alabama we never expected to see.
