Hello! My name is Sopheap. I was born and raised in Cambodia, but I have been living abroad for many years now. While immigration brings new opportunities, there is still a quiet longing for my homeland and the familiar tastes of my childhood in my heart.
This is what inspired me to preserve a piece of that family atmosphere at the table by creating this cookbook with recipes from Khmer cuisine.
No matter how difficult your day has been, everyone dreams of returning home where a warm, delicious dinner is waiting on the table. In exchange for this memory that I hold dear, I want to share with the world the taste of authentic Khmer food – warm, family-oriented, and genuine. Because food can bring people together, even when distance separates us.
Recipes from Cambodia is not just a collection of recipes – it is the story of Cambodian family warmth told through food. It is an invitation into a Khmer home’s kitchen, where every aroma is connected to memories, holidays, traditions, and care.
And, of course, those secret ingredients that you won’t find in any cooking show – only in memories and love passed down through generations.
As of November 27th, this project has raised $2,600 of their $30 goal. This project has 7 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $9, you will get a PDF book. For a pledge of $35, you will get one printed book.
