Welcome to the Trainscapes segment! Each week here on Geek Alabama, Trainscapes will feature train content including videos of trains and behind the scenes action of trains and locomotives. Some people have an interest in seeing trains, and we here at Geek Alabama aim to please the train lovers!
In April 2020, we visited Norfolk Southern’s steel super-highway in northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana, watching trains at some of our favorite locations like Bryan and Waterloo. With over 70 daily freight trains pre-pandemic, rail traffic on the Chicago Line was at an all-time low. Nonetheless, we still saw many special trains and locomotives.
