Hello all! I am Mega Ran! Teacher, Rapper, Hero and Daddy!
Many of you may know that in November of 2021, my life changed forever. My partner Rachel and I decided to take foster parent classes, and a short time after graduation, we were blessed with the greatest miracle: a 3-week old baby boy who had unfortunately had a rough go of it. We call him affectionately “Buddy.” He’s now been adopted!
I never thought I’d do it, but in 2023 I put out my first CHILDREN’s ALBUM! Buddy’s Magic Toy Box.
A few people liked it. It hit a few charts and playlists. but most importantly. I LOVE IT, and BUDDY does too.
As he grows, i realize i wanna make more music that also grows with him, and that’s where the follow up to BMTB comes in! Coming spring of 2025:
BUDDYS MAGIC ????!?!??!?! (i’ll announce the title once we’re funded)
I want to make more songs that are not just FOR KIDS, but as he grows i realize that communication is so key to a kid’s development. I’m working hard to make songs that can help kids to understand and cope with some things that are just too complicated sometimes. I want to help teach more good character traits, reinforce positive behaviors, and make some SLAPS!
Prior to this becoming the main focus, I started a rap album inspired by a video game character that I really love (you may know them, hmm) –so hopefully if all goes well with this campaign, as a stretch goal, I’ll add that album just for backers first!
I’m working on some cool items to go with the album like vinyl, and I’ll try to add stuff like cassettes, more of those sweet Lego mini figures and all kinds of stuff. But the main focus is gonna be the music!
More on those later, but first -let’s get a Children’s Album done!
