Aerial footage and close ups of Chimney Rock NC following historic flooding from Hurricane Helene, months after the flooding event. Filmed 12-14-24. Downtown Chimney Rock was open to the public for the first time since the flooding event, by bus shuttle. A few businesses and vendors in the nearby area were serving food, but much progress remains. The river has been rerouted and new roads have begun to be built and old ones repaired and recovery efforts have been hard at work since the flood.
