Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment! Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others. The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal. Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Honor is more than just a word. It’s a fundamental value that shapes character and guides actions. Good values are never a bad thing! Ethan’s Word of Honor is a story that helps kids learn the value of honor. Honor has many values rolled into one: honesty, fairness, trust, and kindness. Understanding honor is essential! Written in flowing rhyme, this story focuses on basic definitions of honor as a noun and a verb. With adorable eagle main characters, colorful cartoony art, and a hidden medal on every spread of the book, kids will be engaged and entertained while they are learning!
Ethan has challenging homework. What does he do (like many kids with homework)? He complains! His grandfather, Papa Eagle, is there and ready to help. There’s something about the bond between a grandfather and grandson that makes everything, even learning, better. Wisdom shared between generations honors the past and inspires the future.
As of August 7th, this project has raised $1,600 of their $5,000 goal. This project has 22 days left to raise the $5,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $22, you will get one book. For a pledge of $28, you will get one book plus extras. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/swall/ethans-word-of-honor?
