I often think to myself why is this country so divided right now? Why is the United States seeing some of the worst divineness since the first Civil War?
And I can give you two good answers to this.
The first is gerrymandering. Politicians and legislators in many states have redrawn district maps for state and federal races so they are guaranteed that one party can win the race every election.
Mostly Republicans have been gerrymandering, but some Democrats do gerrymandering as well.
When you gerrymander a political district so you can guarantee one party can win every time, you get the most extremist candidates to run.
We have seen this quite often with some extremist political candidates running and winning in races all over the country.
When extremist politicians win, they often introduce extremist laws. And they often say extremist things on social media or in the news media.
These extremist candidates are riling people up to be more angrier. And when you get more people angrier, people will often agree to more extremist ideas.
This is one big reason why Nazi Germany rose to power before World War II. And unless we control the anger in our politicians today, we are steamrolling our way to another world war.
There has been one solution lately to keep out the extremist candidates from winning elections. And it’s called ranked choice voting.
But several States including Alabama have banned ranked choice voting. So I guess politicians in states like Alabama love the extremism. And judging by the media I read here in Alabama everyday, it’s only going to get worse.
The second reason why extremism and anger is growing in the United States, is our media.
Billionaires in this country have been buying up social media platforms and news media platforms and turning them more extremist and right-wing.
As a result, the more senior media platforms have been laying off a lot of people and closing down. While the more extremist right-wing media platforms have been growing and getting more extremist.
Gee, I wonder why more people are getting angry in this country every day? It’s because what’s left of most of the news media in this country is these extremist right-wing insane platforms.
Democrats are failing to invest in new media messaging in this country. And unless they never want to win again, they better figure out how to get new media platforms launched and soon.
Because many Democrats are stuck in the old ways of trying to get their message out to the public.
Newspapers are no longer doing editorials.
Social media algorithms are not sharing Democrat messaging.
People hate it when they get mail including postcards.
What I’m trying to say, Democrats must invest in new media messaging in this country. Or people like me are just wasting their time. And we might as well get ready to see Project 2025 take effect in the United States.
