West of Birmingham, Bessemer is a historic city once important in the steel industry. While the city has declined more recently, it is still a hub for trains and especially the Norfolk Southern. We’ll see lots of action on a hot Thursday morning before heading north to cool off and catch some trains on the BNSF.
