Trainscapes: Christmas With The US Army Railroad

Advertisements

Welcome to the Trainscapes segment! Each week here on Geek Alabama, Trainscapes will feature train content including videos of trains and behind the scenes action of trains and locomotives. Some people have an interest in seeing trains, and we here at Geek Alabama aim to please the train lovers!

The Military Railroad Society began in 2015 as a restoration effort of a World War II era, S100 type, USATC steam locomotive number 5002. The Military Railroad Society has since become involved in community outreach with the military at Joint Base Langley-Eustis by hosting train ride events such as Operation Sergeant Santa and participating in military reenactments throughout the year. The group is eager to preserve all different facets of military railroading to help honor the legacy of the men and women who served our great nation.
