Do you think you have Aspergers? Here is how you find out!

Ok, so first off, we have to know that Aspergers isn’t a diagnosis anymore; it has changed its diagnostic name to Autism Spectrum Disorder since 2013.

So how do you know if you may be autistic or not? Although autism is a broad spectrum, it can be characterized by a few more common traits or incorrectly called ‘autism symptoms’ sometimes.

Here are 5 of the most common autism traits so you can see if you identify with them.

1. Lack Of Eye Contact
Autistic people generally have difficulties making eye contact and find it very uncomfortable. This causes them to look away and avoid eye contact when talking to people.

2. Social Interaction Difficulty
People on the autism spectrum can struggle to converse socially and have significant difficulties understanding social constructs and unwritten rules of social conventions.

3. Sensory Processing Issues
Autism has many co-occurring issues, including Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). This can be sensitive to light, sound, touch, taste, smell, and temperature.

4. Repetitive Behavior
Autistic people love to have a repetitive routine; this may be having the same foods every day, only wearing one type of clothing, and sitting in the same spot All the time.

5. Obsessive Interests
People with autism may display an extreme and overly obsessed interest in a specific topic, anything from bugs to trains.
