Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:  https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

I’m Robby Hecht- I’m an indie folk singer-songwriter.

Between writing hundreds of songs, driving thousands of miles in a Jeep, Volkswagen, Subaru (two of them actually) and Hyundai, and endless cups of tea, I’ve managed to get four full length solo records on the books along with an EP, some duo records, and singles. All told, my music has racked up over 20 million streams, which ain’t half bad (until you cash the royalty checks). I’ve been featured on national news, had songs share screen-time with Samwise Gamgee and Rusty Griswold (or Sean Astin and Anthony Michael Hall, depending on who you ask), and toured through this country and a few others (Holland and the U.K. notably).

And even if you haven’t heard me – over 60 of my songs have been recorded by my friends and heroes, including Matthew Perryman Jones, Jennifer Knapp, Kyshona, Meghan Linsey and many others. Wow, you might be thinking, what a storied career! Did Robby just come here to brag about his many accomplishments?!

I’ve had just about every form of validation that the music industry has to offer to an independent songwriter – accolades, sync licenses, streams…but I still need your help making this next project a reality. If you know me, I hope you’re excited about my next project (I know I am!). If you don’t, I hope the above paragraph illustrates just how worthy this project is – of your precious time, attention, and (yes) money. Music doesn’t get made without support from fans and friends like you. I truly believe this is my best work to date, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

The money you contribute to my Kickstarter will go toward the elements involved in releasing a record successfully- publicity, radio, artwork, design, CDs and vinyl, limited edition screen prints, photo/video, and team members.

As of February 8th, this project has raised $24,000 of their $25,000 goal.  This project has 1 day left to raise the $25,000 or it will not be funded.  For a pledge of $15, you will get a album digital download.  For a pledge of $30, you will get a digital download plus acoustic sessions.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/robbyhecht/notanumber?
