Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

The Oddisea Suite is a concept album exploring the transgender experience, painted in strokes of jazz, neo-soul, and hip-hop. With over an hour and 20 minutes of music, the album is broken down into four themed EPs, each varying from 15-25 minutes long. Ultimately I hope to share with people a story of resilience, of being able to find beauty amidst all the tragedy and darkness.

Part 1 will be released on August 27th. Each subsequent section will be released in 2-month intervals, with EP release parties and exclusive merch coming out with each part. A fifth EP of B-sides will only be released if we reach our first stretch goal.

As of July 27th, this project has raised $7,700 of their $9,500 goal. This project has 4 days left to raise the $9,500 or it will not be funded.  For a pledge of $20, you will get digital download releases.  For a pledge of $30, you will get digital releases, stickers, and a print.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thatoddity/the-oddisea-suite-a-four-part-concept-album-by-oddity?
