Good News Fridays: Hyundai Supports Alabama Black-Owned Businesses In Honor Of Black History Month

In recognition of Black History Month, Hyundai Motor America is launching The Progress Project by Hyundai, an initiative to support Black-owned businesses in Montgomery. Starting this month, Hyundai will be making donations of $15,000 each to three local businesses.

“Our U.S. manufacturing facility is proud to call Montgomery home,” said Dana White, chief communications officer, Hyundai Motor North America. “Montgomery is a city rich in culture and a cornerstone in the civil rights movement. The pandemic has been particularly hard for small businesses and, as a member of this vibrant community, Hyundai wants to help these businesses grow and thrive.”

Team members at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama nominated local Black-owned businesses for the project. The three businesses selected were:
