Crowdsourcing Mornings: The Happiness Post

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Since we launched our first startup in 2011, we have been passionate about increasing the quality of people’s lives. We always thought people need to be happier, and we wanted it to be our job to bring more happiness to the world. Because believe it or not, a huge part of happiness is handmade.

All these years, we have been following our passion for increasing happiness for people, with the help of colorful and cheerful digital content, focusing on mental health. The result? +700K women used our services, with a noticeable change in their response to stressful events.

And now we thought, why not a newspaper? Because… you know, paper just feels better.

The Happiness Post is a monthly mental health newspaper, designed to make you happier and feel better.

In each issue, an educational theme will take over the newspaper, but it won’t be like school lectures (we didn’t like school either). We aim to make it all fun and joyful, so you won’t even notice its education. We call it EJOYCATION in our office.

Each issue of The Happiness Post contains science-backed articles, bite-sized fun lessons, games, puzzles, comics, stories, quotes, AND interactive pages. And sometimes letters from our witty chief editor.

As of December 23rd, this project has raised $10,000 of their $9,966 goal. This project has 8 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $4, you will get one digital issue.  For a pledge of $24, you will get a three month subscription.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
