Roadscapes Wednesday: What Driving Through Glenwood Canyon Looks Like Since It Reopened

Advertisements

Welcome to Roadscapes Wednesday, each week this post will talk about roads and infrastructure related topics.  I am called the “road geek” for a good reason, I love roads and love talking about roads!

I-70 through Glenwood Canyon in Colorado has been in the news lately.  A major mudslide damaged the highway and Colorado DOT crews have had to clean up the debris and repair the roadway.  CDOT crews have removed thousands of tons of debris from the canyon, including 440 truck loads of debris. Each truck load equals 13 tons of material.  9 News out of Denver did a road video showing you what its like inside the canyon today.
