Roadscapes Wednesday: Pictures From The Glencoe, Alabama Driving Range

Advertisements

Welcome to Roadscapes Wednesday, each week this post will talk about roads and infrastructure related topics.  I am called the “road geek” for a good reason, I love roads and love talking about roads!

You don’t find many of these around anymore.  In Glencoe, Alabama, there is a small driving range for new drivers to practice their driving skills.  The driving range also includes an older style 4-way traffic signal, an older style 3-way caution light, and an 12-8-8 older style 3-way traffic signal.

The driving range also has a railroad branch running right through the middle of it.  And there is an abandoned railroad passenger car as well.

The driving range is open on weekdays if you want to check it out!  It’s located off of Rains Air Depot Road.  Here is a satellite view of the simple driving range.  Enjoy some pictures below!
