Trainscapes: Huge Norfolk Southern Train Derailment Aftermath From Above

Welcome to Trainscapes.  Each week, we will feature train content including videos of trains and behind the scenes action of trains and locomotives!

I hate it when trains derail, but it does happen.  And YouTube channel Crossbuck Productions caught the aftermath of one trainwreck on Norfolk Southern tracks.  On January 25th, 2021, Norfolk Southern mixed freight train 16T came off the rails between Charles Town, WV and Berryville, VA on the Norfolk Southern H line between Hagerstown, MD and Front Royal, VA.

As you can see from the drone shots, crews from Norfolk Southern quickly got the trainwreck cleaned up and the tracks repaired and back open in record time.  These crews do a great job!
