Crowdsourcing Mornings: Dear Frontline: Honoring Essential Workers with Public Art

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

DEAR FRONTLINE has invited you to honor essential workers with digital art messages during the COVID crisis. Now, we want to bring that powerful art recognizing frontline workers to large-scale public display in coronavirus hot spots across the U.S.. Installations will be mounted in strategic locations – adjacent to hospitals, service centers or political pulse points. We do this with the intention that workers – and those assigned the duty of protecting them – see these amplified expressions of gratitude, recognition, and advocacy for their safety, rights and well-being.

DEAR FRONTLINE will employ artists through a public art campaign at this critical time when artists find their former public art world shuttered. As we make our own history in this new era, it is the role of artists – during tragedy and social evolution –  to envision and inspire the world to action.

Join us in shining the light of art on the critical role of frontline workers, the sacrifices they make to serve the common good, and in turn what we can do to respect and protect them.

As of September 17th, this project has raised $7,500 of their $15,000 goal. This project has 20 days left to raise the $15,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $10, you will get project updates.  For a pledge of $20, you will get a sticker pack.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dearfrontline/dear-frontline-honoring-essential-workers-with-public-art?
