On a tiny island between the United Kingdom and Ireland is a globally recognised Motorcycle race called The Isle Of Man TT.

This race is one of the most dangerous motorbike races in the world. Man and machine take on the 37.7-mile course trying to break the record and become the fastest road racer in the world. There are multiple disciplines but the most famous of all of the races held during the TT fortnight is the Senior TT. This is a race for Superbikes which have been tuned for racing. Usually, 1000CC, there are a variety of brands from Honda to BMW that race. Riders at the TT are a little bit different with the King Of The Mountain being a man called John McGuinness. He is over forty years old and certainly doesn’t look like your average motorcycle racer.

This year, due to COVID-19, the Isle of Man TT was cancelled for only the second time in its 100 year history. Because we live in a digital era, the organizers worked with well-known game designers Big Ben and put on a virtual TT where the general public could race with world-famous TT riders and try to become the Virtual King of The Mountain.

If you fancy taking on the Isle of Man TT, you can buy the game for PC, Xbox or Playstation. The greatest thing about playing the game and not trying to take on the mountain in real life is that you won’t need one of the most experienced personal injury law firms in town. The TT course is open to the public to ride around and many travel from across the world to ride like their heroes. Sadly there have been many deaths around the course, and people have even questioned whether the event should be banned. You don’t need to worry about that because the Isle of Man TT Game is very close to reality. It was developed with riders and teams so that the player could get a real-life experience of the road and the handling of the bikes.

Davey Todd, Honda Factory rider and a man tipped to be the next King of The Mountain, actually learnt to ride the TT course by using the game on his playstation. He also recommended it to his teammate Irish Superbike rider Glenn Irwin. Both have said that it is so realistic you can learn the course on your PlayStation and work out the best lines to take, so when you head out for your first real lap of the TT, you know what to expect and how to choose the best line. This is evident by Todd being the second fastest newcomer in Isle Of Man TT history.

You can by TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 online and in most gaming stores. You can use your regular controller and get a real sense of this exhilarating motorcycle race. And you never know, you could beat the current global TT game lap record holder – Davey Todd!
