This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

Rubi: The Wayward Mira is a 2D action-platformer game based in a lush pixel world where science and magic come together. Featuring ability-based progression, Rubi is a Metroidvania at its core, but features nonlinear gameplay with multiple playstyles and endings.  Guide Rubi, a Mira stranded on the alien world of Earth, in her quest to awaken the bridge between worlds, open a portal back to her homeworld of Casimir, and save her people from extinction.

You play as Rubi, a Mira unable to use magic, suddenly thrust into a world with an overabundance of it. What grants her strength overwhelms the other Mira, driving them mad with power at first, eventually falling feral. Rubi’s driving goal is to reunite with her family on Casimir by restarting the Large Hadron Collider, but the Feral Mira have other plans.

As of January 13th, this project has raised $13,600 of their $12,000 goal. This project has 24 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $20, you will get a digital copy of the game.  For a pledge of $40, you will get a PDF art copy and digital copy of the game.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/teamrubi/rubi-the-wayward-mira-0?
