This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

The Tycho Puzzle is an intriguing mental and physical challenge. It’s difficult to solve, satisfying to hold, and beautiful to display.  Comprised of eight pieces of brass and stainless steel, the Tycho Puzzle’s components fit together to form a cube with gently rounded edges.  The Tycho Puzzle is small but mighty, measuring 1.8 inches across and weighing almost 1.5lbs.

The Tycho Puzzle comes packaged in a custom cork box, which echoes its dimensions and shape, and will protect it in transit. Once you’ve safely received your puzzle, the box is quite nice for storage, transport, and display. But it also stands on its own as a really handsome object.  The Tycho Puzzle also features a hidden interior cavity that’s a perfect place to conceal a meaningful surprise.

The solution to the puzzle might initially seem obvious, but upon closer inspection there are nuances, asymmetries, and interferences that prevent a simple stacked approach.  With the Tycho Puzzle, we’ve created a compelling object that activates the mind and roots you in the present moment.

As of November 1st, this project has raised $250,000 of their $21,000 goal. This project has 13 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $85, you will get one Tycho Puzzle.  For a pledge of $140, you will get two Tycho Puzzles.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/craighill/the-tycho-puzzle?
