Yep, the restaurant chain that got its start in Madison Square Park in New York City is opening its first Alabama location on Wednesday August 22.  The location is at The Summit, 200 Summit Blvd in Birmingham, and the place opens at 11 am.  Shake Shack is known for its 100 percent all-natural Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches and griddled flat-top dogs, crispy crinkle cut fries, and fresh-made frozen custard.

And for a special bonus, the Shake Shack in Birmingham will include some special menu items you can only find in Alabama!  One such item will be  crinkle-cut fries topped with Big Bob Gibson’s pulled pork and cheese sauce.  Plus, the Alabama Shake Shack will also include local brews from  Avondale Brewing Co., Good People Brewing Co., Back Forty Beer Company and Cahaba Brewing Co.  You can also get a glass of Shack Red and Shack White wine from the Gotham Project.

The Birmingham location will also feature unique “Concretes”, which include:

Also, 5 percent of sales from the Pie Oh My concrete throughout the life of the shack will be donated to the Cahaba River Society, an organization that restores and protects the Cahaba River watershed and its rich diversity of life.  And this Shake Shack will have eco-friendly construction, including the tabletops made using reclaimed bowling alley lanes; chairs designed with sustainable materials; and booths using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

Cool man!  The first 205 people in line when the Birmingham Shake Shack opens at 11 a.m. on August 22nd will receive a free order of Big Bob’s Cheese Fries!  Learn more at: https://www.shakeshack.com/location/birmingham-al/
