Here in East Alabama, Northern Calhoun County and the City of Jacksonville along with Jacksonville State University has experienced a lot of tornado damage caused from a EF3 tornado. It’s going to be an extremely long rebuilding process for some here in East Alabama. This post will highlight ways to keep up with important information and ways to donate to help those that need it.
First, Jacksonville State University now has a JSU Strong page on their website. The website has resources for students and staff plus includes all locations tornado victims can get supplies and resources. Access it at: http://www.jsu.edu/jsustrong
Also, there is a new Facebook Group called Jacksonville AL Tornado Recovery. This group is posting important information in relation to the recovery from the tornado damage.

A new GoFundMe called JSU STRONG Tornado Relief is raising funds, all proceeds will go to the Jacksonville State University Foundation.
The United Way is also raising funds for tornado victims all across Alabama. Access it by clicking here.
The Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama is now accepting donations where 100% of funds will go towards disaster relief.
The Salvation Army Alabama is on the ground in Jacksonville helping those in need. You can donate here.
If you want to volunteer your time and help in Jacksonville, beginning this Friday Jacksonville will need volunteers. You must register first at the Jacksonville Community Center on 501 Alexandria Road SW.
