Father’s Day weekend is proving to be a busy one across Alabama!  Another great event happening on Saturday June 20th from 5-9 pm at the Alys Stephens Center is something called It’s All About Local Alabama.  The ASC is gearing up for yet another fantastic celebration of everything LOCAL! Last year was such a great success celebrating all things Birmingham that this year we are expanding LOCAL to “Celebrate All Things Alabama”! Enjoy shopping with interesting Alabamians from farmers to artists, hip food trucks and even original Alabama music.

As part of this event, there will be six artists performing music, and this is a competition because all six are being judged and the winner will get $1,000!  The artists performing are Adam Hood, Corey Nolen, Clinton Babers, Gary Glover, Michaela Parker, and The Wildwood Ruminators.  Kick off the coming of summer in Alabama at LOCAL! A perfect event for families and anyone who loves to call this great state home. LOCAL is free to the public, and VIP tickets are available. » So, come on y’all – it’s time to celebrate our state!

Also at the event will be Rachel Callahan and pictures from her Picture Birmingham initiative.  She will be there selling prints of her photos and all Picture Birmingham profits go to The WellHouse to help rescue victims of Human Trafficking.  She will have note cards, prints, and canvases, all taken and printed locally.
