What’s Next And Coming Up On The Walking Dead

So, the season five finale was over an week ago, and I am finally happy to see the residents of Alexandria growing up a little and realizing that there are big threats outside those walls.  But first, enjoy my 15 life lessons from The Walking Dead presentation, you know you want to read it!

So let’s get started with the last scenes of season 5, which you can watch below!  As you can see, it turns into a bloodbath.

So, what can you expect for season 6?  Scott Gimple, did not appear on Talking Dead, but instead sent along this statement.

“For a good while now, humans have been the bigger threat. At the start of our next season, that will change,” Gimple wrote. “I’ve said before the show reinvents itself every eight episodes and we’re doing it again, friendos. Now that these characters know that they have what it takes to survive, what are they going to do with that power? How will they choose to live? Beyond answering those questions, we’re currently putting into motion some of our most ambitious stuff yet and things are going to get very big, loud and scary.”

And according to The Walking Dead comic book series.  Things are going to get very crazy in season 6!  As you know, the TV show mostly follows the storylines in the comic book, but the TV show does not follow the comic book 100%.  For example, Daryl Dixon is in the TV show, but not in the comic.  For starters, it looks like Rick will become the new leader of Alexandria in season 6.  The reason, the current leader of Alexandria just had her husband shot to death!  And she is not fit to lead the town.

In the comics, the outsiders are called the DC Scavengers.  The TV show calls them the Wolves.  And in the comics, eventually the outsiders comes to demand entry to the safe zone.  The outsiders are disposed of, but all of the gunfire attracts a lot of zombies, and I mean a lot!  The zombies in the comic book knocks down the walls, and most of the survivors inside the safe zone dies.  While this is happening, a gun bullet goes through one of Carl’s eyes and exits through the back.  Sadly, Morgan is bitten in the arm, and has his arm cut off.  Be he soon dies in the comic book.

Carl does eventually wake up, with one eye gone and part of his face gone as well.  The comic book talks about the Hilltop community.  And the comic book eventually goes to the All Out War storyline.  Wil we get to that in season 6?  We will see!  The good news is The Walking Dead TV show has enough material to last 10 seasons or more!  And with the record ratings, this show is not going anywhere!  For now, we will get to enjoy the spin-off called Fear The Walking Dead coming late Summer.

And you can enjoy this parody video showing what would happen if Alexandria had public access TV.  They even used the old Alabama Public Television logo!
