You have heard of those stories of people who died and thought they went to heaven, and they came back to life and had a story to tell. Well, there is actual science to what happens when a person’s mind ceases to live. Journalist Gideon Lichfield from The Atlantic talks about what happens in a person’s mind when they pass away. Lichfield studied people who had near death experiences, and he found that the lack of oxygen, the rush of endorphins, and/or too much carbon dioxide could be the explanation for any one of these experiences.
But, one thing remains clear! What occurs during a near-death experience remains unclear and elusive to this day. I mean, you will never see someone being dead for days and coming back to life. Enjoy this video below!
