Well, Thanksgiving week is here!  And this week, I will be posting two recipe posts!  To get things started, I wanted to re-make a classic Geek Alabama recipe, and I think I did a great job!  You see, everyone likes chocolate chip cookies.  And with many families getting together later this week, why not make a batch with your kids before you dive into that turkey and gravy!

Everything in the recipe post below is your normal stuff, accept the butter.  I got those I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter sticks instead of regular butter.  It made the cookies even more soft!  Here’s what you need!

1.  Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.  Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mix well!

3.  Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt.  Gradually stir into mixture.

4.  Add in the chocolate chips and fold into batter.

5.  Drop each cookie by rounded spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes, or until light brown.

6.  Cool cookies on cookie sheet for five minutes.  Then move cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

Complete all of the cookie batches, and enjoy!
