Since Geek Alabama is based in Anniston, and we talk about and sometimes cover events in places like Anniston, Gadsden, Carrollton, and Rome. I was contacted on Twitter about this special conference that will bring the brightest minds in entrepreneurship and innovation on Thursday and Friday February 20-21 in Rome, Georgia. The conference is called Confluence Rome.
Confluence is two days of inspiration, innovation, and motivation for leaders, technologists, educators, entrepreneurs, students, and artists held at the Historic DeSoto Theatre in downtown Rome, Georgia. As many as 300 people will be coming to the Rome Metro to participate in this special conference. The keynote speaker is David Burkus, who is the author of “The Myths of Creativity: The Truth About How Innovative Companies And People Generate Great Ideas.” Burkus is the assistant professor of management at the College of Business at Oral Roberts University, where he teaches courses on creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and organizational behavior. Another keynote speaker is Mitch Free. He is a global entrepreneur, innovator, and digital manufacturing expert.
