Remember Ruben Studdard on American Idol? He is from Birmingham and was the big velvet teddy bear and always wore those “205” shirts that became popular! He won the second season of American Idol and went on to record some popular music and albums. Since American Idol, Ruben has lost weight and was a vegan for a couple of years. He did lose the weight but the weight came back. Ruben got a call to be on The Biggest Loser season 15 and he could not pass this opportunity up. Here is an interview with Ruben Studdard before the show starts!
Did you notice the shirt in the video. Ruben Studdard will be the heaviest cast member on the show at 462 pounds. Ruben does not blame fast food joints for the obesity problems in himself. Ruben wants to learn on the ranch “how to be a better me.” The Biggest Loser ranch has turned the lives of countless people around and he wants the trainers to get his life back together.
In this other exclusive video, Ruben Studdard goes into an ice bath and trainer Jillian Michaels notices the huge back hair on the back of Studdard. Ruben is unapologetic about his body hair, which he refers to as “taco meat.” He does not want to be womanized!
