Geek Alabama Birthday Week: 2013 August TV Premieres

This August will be featuring some huge TV premieres.  All of these premieres takes place around August 15th, which is my 27th birthday.  The week around my birthday is dubbed Geek Alabama Birthday Week!  So, I will talk about three big TV premieres happening on Mid-August that you need to watch!

Breaking Bad: 2nd Half Season 5

The second half of the final season of Breaking Bad will premiere on Sunday August 11th on AMC.  If you have never seen Breaking Bad, the show is about a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer.  He then turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, with the aim of securing his family’s financial future before he dies.

The last eight episodes will be great.  Will the DEA finally capture the drug makers or will main character Walter White pass away from the drugs or the lung cancer?  AMC will also feature a talk show named “Talking Bad” to discuss the latest episodes!  The last eight episodes will air on Sunday nights on AMC.

Duck Dynasty: Season 4

Duck Dynasty is one of the top TV shows currently airing!  So season 4 was announced by A&E for a Wednesday August 14th premiere date.  Duck Dynasty features The Robertson Family as they sell duck calls and other merchandise.  For season 4, a new cast member will join the cast!

Alan Robertson, who is a pastor and clean-shaven, is quitting his day job and joining the family business as the company’s “Beards and Beauty Wrangler,” or public relations.  So, will Alan grow a large beard like the rest of the Robertson men?  I guess we will have to find out!  Duck Dynasty will air on Wednesday nights on A&E.
