You have to love things like this! On Christmas Day Daniel Buckhannan from Oxford was at his father’s house in Boaz. Don Buckhannan dreamed of going to see the Alabama Crimson Tide play in the big game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. And on Christmas Day his son made his dream come true! In the video that has gone viral Daniel gave his father a Bear Bryant type hat as a Christmas gift. He also included two tickets to the BCS National Championship Game in Miami on January 7th in the inside. Daniel videotaped his dad’s reaction to seeing the tickets which were priceless on YouTube and has gotten over 4 million views!
“Dad said he told me on the day I was born how much fun we would have together watching Alabama football,” Buckhannan said. “Although we have been season ticket holders for almost 20 years, we have never been to an Alabama bowl game, so yes, this is very special to both of us.” Both guys have been featured on ESPN, CNN, the Today Show, ABC and are enjoying their 15 minutes of fame. When Alabama and Notre Dame meet on the field to decide the BCS National Championship in Miami on January 7th, Don Buckhannan and his son Daniel will be there to watch every moment of the biggest game of the year!
