18 Days Left Until Christmas

At the North Pole:

Yes the elves at the North Pole do keep up with the news around the world.  One, there is the North Pole Christmas newspaper.  The newspaper comes out daily with the latest news.  Also the North Pole has internet access.  You can be anywhere up there and use the Wi-Fi to get access to the internet.  When the elves sees a political cartoon like this one.  It makes them upset.

Christmas Song:

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas is a classic Christmas song written in 1951 by Meredith Willson.  The Bing Crosby version was recorded on October 1, 1951.  But this version recorded by Johnny Mathis in 1986 is what’s played on the radio today.  Sometimes having your song in a major movie will make it popular.

Adult Gift Idea:

Have Star Wars fans.  I am sure they would enjoy having the Star Wars Lightsaber Candlestick.  This looks very real!  Find at Thinkgeek.com

Child Gift Idea:

Here is a neat game.  This game from Mattel called Loopz involves waving your hands in the loops to follow the light and music cues.  The game gets harder as it goes.  Find at Mattel.com.

Christmas Charity:

Toys For Tots is run by the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve and they collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.  This charity helps less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas and to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children.
