A Tuscaloosa institution re-opened their doors this morning.  Krispy Kreme Doughnuts reopened this morning after the original building was destroyed during the April 27th tornado.  The original building had been around since the 1960’s but the April 27th tornado destroyed the building.

It took around a year and a half to rebuild the Krispy Kreme in Tuscaloosa but on August 21st the business reopened its doors.  The hot doughnuts light came on at 5am and the crowd that was staying overnight celebrated and went inside.  The Krispy Kreme re-opened just in time for the Alabama football season that starts in a few weeks and you know many people going to the Alabama games will stop at the Krispy Kreme.  Congratulations to the Smith Family for the grand re-opening of the Krispy Kreme in Tuscaloosa.
