Those who are familiar with Tapas know that our platform is full of talented comic creators looking for a place to share their story. For this project, we wanted to take this opportunity to partner with both Kickstarter and our Creator Community to gather some inspiring stories and bring them to life with a physical book!
To achieve this, the Tapas Community Team hosted a comic contest on our platform. Creators could submit their comics via our platform during the submission period of June 1st – August 17th. After that, our team and several staff members from Kickstarter banded together and chose the winners from those submissions to create this anthology of beautifully illustrated comics focused around a single theme:
Daydreaming: Stories about Make Believe and exploring what it means to be a kid!

The Goal of this Kickstarter is to bring the physical edition of this anthology to life! Any additional profit made from this Kickstarter after printing the book and paying any expenses on Tapas’ end will be split amongst the contest winners. The more successful this campaign is, the more our creator’s benefit, and the more likely it is that we can host campaigns and contests like this in the future.
The physical anthology will be a perfect bound, full color graphic novel. It will be printed at 6”x9” and feature roughly 100 pages of beautifully illustrated comics.
As of March 17th, this project has raised $1,200 of their $7,500 goal. This project has 19 days left to raise the $7,500 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $5, you will get one digital PDF download. For a pledge of $30, you will get one physical book.
