Welcome to Creatures Tarot: Black and White. These decks have been designed by me as part of my personal study over the last year, in a continued effort to relate to tarot in the simplest and most meaningful way possible. These simple, human-free, black and white cards have been part of a deep, meaningful study for me, in truly examining how each card feels at its core without the distraction of color and complication. In 2023 I created the colorful, original Creatures Tarot. This deck uses the same family of Creatures but features completely new artwork.
All artwork is done by me lovingly over time. The artwork is digital but there is no AI involved, and all of the writing (aside from the text in the book) is my personal handwriting. I’ve kept the handwriting and linework on this deck very true to the original sketches, making a point to not correct line thickness or to make things feel too neat, which helps the deck feel more in line with my relationship with it.
This is a campaign to support the creation of 2 black and white decks featuring the same Creatures but in different styles: a standard sized 78 card tarot deck, and a mini 78 card tarot deck. The mini deck is only available as an Add On at the moment.
