America is woefully far behind the rest of the world when it comes to high speed rail, or rail at all for that matter. However there is one glimmer of hope, and it is in a surprising place: Florida. Brightline is building a high speed railroad in Florida, as a private company. This gives them a ton of advantages over Amtrak, and many hope it can help revitalize the floundering American passenger rail system.
