Two incredible new hardcover art books representing amazing artists from Taiwan and Korea!

“Although Taiwan and the U.S. are far apart, I feel very close to the warm people in the U.S. thanks to my past experiences with them. Most recently I participated in Artists in Taiwan, a rich collection of works by many artists from Taiwan on the pixiv platform.Taiwan is a very small island, but it is very receptive to other cultures, so the styles created by different artists for the “Artists in Taiwan” book are very diverse. The cover I drew for this book is intended to express this concept, depicting a variety of fantasy flowers flying and blooming in the sky.” — VOFAN, cover artist to Artists in Taiwan

These books, Artists in Taiwan and Artists in Korea, represent a small fraction of the talented artists actively engaged on pixiv. Clover Press and pixiv are proud to bring these works to the English reading audience, and to deliver their art beyond the boundaries of region and language.

“Art is a medium that conveys a visual language without requiring proficiency in a spoken or written language. Art opens up ways for fans to easily come into contact with unfamiliar cultures and expressions. I, myself, am from Korea, and have been fortunate to share my artwork with numerous cultures in different countries, including Japan and now English-speaking regions.” — Tiv, cover artist to Artists in Korea

The art of manga, manhwa and manhua creation continues to become mainstream on a worldwide basis. We hope these books introduce you to more international artists and inspire you to enjoy and create your own new artwork.

Between both volumes, we collect the amazing work of Say HANa, I READING, LOIZA, B.c.N.y., modare, Anmi, zipcy, Gearous, DSmile, Canking and so many more!

As of January 20th, this project has raised $31,000 of their $10,000 goal. This project has 12 days left to raise as much as it can.
