Song of Tales is a game of storytelling and creation, bidding and collaboration where the player best able to tell their tale in the manner of their character’s tradition will win. It will ask up to eight players to adopt the role of legendary characters of folk tale tradition so that they can weave their stories.
Players compete to tell their stories, but can bid points for the right to join in with each other’s tales in return for the chance to gain points from their own telling. The more storytellers that collaborate on your tale the more you gain. In Song of Tales play isn’t about stealing or stopping a story, but building and extending it.
- Compete in the game, but collaborate on your tales.
- Character styles based on world folk tale literary traditions in a range of difficulty levels to allow young and old players to compete on a level setting.
- 3-8 players base rules with co-op score attack mode to allow for an extended 1-8 player count.
This campaign is a relaunch, sadly our first shot at Song of Tales failed to gain the traction we were hoping for. We’ve gone back to the drawing board since our original launch, and we’ve made a few changes. We’ve moved some features over to being stretch goals that have allowed us to get the unit price down to £22 and along with some additional investment on our part we’ve been able to cut our funding goal to make backing more attractive. If you passed by the campaign before, hopefully this time we can make you re-think.
As of October 3rd, this project has raised $2,400 of their $6,689 goal. This project has 20 days left to raise the $6,689 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $25, you will get one game.
