Crowdsourcing Mornings: Canairi – Fresh Air Monitor

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Canairi is a Fresh Air Monitor improving your indoor climate and health through storytelling and intuitive design language. When the air quality is poor Canairi will drop down, until you open the window to bring it back to life. Simple as that.

90% of our life is spend indoors. Often in poor air quality increasing the risk of asthma, headache, fatigue and sleep disorders. Airing out regularly will improve your well-being, sleep and overall health. Canairi is a friendly reminder to a healthy indoor climate.

Back in the days, mine workers would bring a canary with them in the coal mine, to detect toxic gasses. When the bird fainted, it was time to get out. With a built-in CO₂-sensor, Canairi works exactly the same way – but in your home. When the air quality is poor the bird will drop, until you open your windows and bring it back to life.

As of April 21st, this project has raised $317,000 of their $7,285 goal. This project has 12 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $127, you will get one Canairi.  For a pledge of $212, you will get two Canairi’s.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/canairi/canairi-the-fresh-air-monitor?
