Crowdsourcing Mornings: A Year In My Fenland Kitchen: A Cookbook

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Eyrie Press is delighted to be partnering with Annie Graves to publish her wonderful cookbook, A Year in my Fenland Kitchen.

More than a decade ago, Annie and her husband took on an allotment on the edge of the small fenland market town where they live, in rural north Cambridgeshire in the east of England.

In the intervening years, they have tended this little patch of ground, and in return it has given them plentiful supplies of fresh veg and fruit.

About the same time as acquiring the allotment, Annie started writing a blog, ‘Fenland Lottie’, as a means of recording what they grew, the successes and the failures, and the meals that she made with their produce. As a result, along with her love of growing and cooking, she developed a love of photography.

This book has grown out of that blog. The recipes, whilst not strictly vegetarian, are mostly plant based, often using the vegetables and fruit from the allotment. Annie also now shares her images and recipes on her Instagram account.

As of April 5th, this project has raised $1,600 of their $1,835 goal. This project has 9 days left to raise the $1,835 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $8, you will get one digital book.  For a pledge of $16, you will get one paperback book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/eyriepress/a-year-in-my-fenland-kitchen-a-cookbook?
