Hello friends! My name is Jimmy and I own June Coffee Co (formerly Epilogue Coffee Roasters) and I’m opening my very first brick & mortar coffee bar right downtown in the heart of Birmingham, Alabama. Three years ago I bought my first commerical coffee roaster and spent hours upon hours of roasting and testing out different batches. Since then, I’ve expanded my roasting operations and have worked with several restaurants around town supplying them with fresh roasted coffee.
The goal was to eventually open up my own storefront one day. The journey hasn’t been easy and definitely hasn’t been cheap. For years I’ve had to work several full-time jobs to save up enough money to start the roasting company. Usually working in the mornings at a coffee shop and sleeping in my car or a friends house before I leave for my night job. Even now, I’m roasting, bagging, delivering coffees and doing events around town for June and while keeping my day job to save up money for the storefront. Even having done all that hard work by myself, I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am now without the help of so many of my good friends and family. And now with my storefront nearing completion in 2022, I need YOUR help getting to the finish line.
I’ve taken out a small loan and poured all of my savings into opening the storefront but unfortunately it just isn’t enough. I’m asking for $10,000 for starting capital and operating expenses. ALL of the money is going towards paying my employees, licenses, cost of goods, etc. Thank you for everything and I hope to see you soon at June for coffee in 2022!
