Crowdsourcing Mornings: Hitch Leash: Carabiner Dog Leash

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

The Hitch Leash is a simple solution to a problem all dog owners can relate to. Whether you’re at the park, a sidewalk cafe, a campsite, the beach or any number of places we hang out with our four-legged friends, we frequently need to tie them up to something. Problem is, tying up a dog with common leashes is easier said than done. You either have to unhook your dog and thread the leash through the handle or extend the leash out and tie it around an object which becomes a tangled mess. Half the time we just wrap it around something and let it dangle and the dog breaks loose or ends up part of the tangle themselves.

The Hitch Leash allows you to easily clip the patent pending carabiner handle to any object up to 1.5″ in diameter with one simple click. Not only is this simple, safe, and strong – it also allows you to keep the retractability of the leash functioning so your dog has space to roam without getting tangled. Or you can simply lock it at your desired length to keep them as close as needed. And when you are ready to go, there is no tangled mess, simply unclip and go.

As of December 3rd, this project has raised $8,400 of their $10,000 goal. This project has 7 days left to raise the $10,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $45, you will get one Hitch Leash.  For a pledge of $65, you will get one reflective Hitch Leash.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sethgriffin/hitch-leash-carabiner-dog-leash?
